It's not necessary now. It was done in the first place to give an extra hour for the harvest, when it was all done by hand. That's also why the schools have long summer holidays, so that the children could help.
yes i see that, i wish we kept it as it is now, but i suppose that some would moan if we didn't put clocks back, personally i find the dark nights completely depressing.
One match we were watching, leslie Vinicolo was hurtling down the wing towards us,. She said 'he's going to land in my lap!' I said, 'Don't get your hopes up love!' :o}
lots of fun at half time, with pints of the black stuff and after the match more of the same. I couldn't tell you some of the rules and regs of the game, but i enjoy it all the same. The days of Will Carling and Rob Andrew, Jonny Wilkinson and more like them, those were really tough games.. but its a tough old sport and one of the only ones i give some time too.
Good morning all, hope you’re ‘getting there’ Boaty?
Very cool here on Tyneside, it’s my Tuesday if retail therapy with my best pal today then to the pub later, enjoy your day whatever you’ll be doing
Morning bobbi xxx I'm getting by thanks. Got to slow down, I haven't got the choice, if I don't I run out of breath and energy very quickly. I'm even have to walk slower than my normal army marching pace! It's annoying, but nothing can be done, I've just got to live with it.
