Forgot to add that Tom is treated by Doc Webster who assists in his escape via Pyrenees and Gibraltar. Tom is Lois's brother and Lois has just met up with Dr Webster's brother.Very very chummy as they said in those days. :-)

I'm still bemused by the very modern pregnancy attitude of dress!! It just would not have been like that! If you are going to do a period drama,it's as easy to get it right or go out of your way to get it wrong,either by poor research or a deliberate move?

Totally agree about the wardrobe of the pregnant singer. No pregnant woman would flaunt her body , in fact in her circumstances I wonder if she would be out and about in public. Otherwise an enjoyable programme .

I agree about the maternity gear - I remember practically living in a tent like garment in the 50s.
And yes there are little howlers here and there but on the whole I am enjoying a superbly written and acted series.

I'm enjoying it too. Being born just after the war, that period really fascinates me. Agree about the maternity dress though. Totally wrong for that period and women basically hid their bumps back then and I doubt would appear on stage.

I agree about the maternity clothes. It would have been a smock and a straight skirt then, generally. It is good though, and the characters are well acted.
