Kindle Freezes When Charging

When I charge my Kindle Papewhite I get the message that to continue using it I should eject it from the pc. Which is tricky when it is NOT connected to the PC and I'm charging it through a proper charger thingy. I then have to unfreeze it, which takes ages and gives my fingers cramp.
I've tried looking for help on the Amazon site, but no luck.
Pleas what can I do?

Ring Amazon 08002797234. They will talk you through it all... and send you a new kindle/ charger etc. free if necessary. You might just have to return your current one (also free).
