I have had a few quotes to replace the roof on my bungalow. All the roofers just had a look around, taken photo's - never went on to the roof or taken measurements. So how do the estimate the amount of tiles required ?? Do they over estimate so as not to loose money ??

The photos will tell them how many tiles there are on your roof; from there it's a simple calculation for an estimated cost for replacement.
