Wear bright clothes, especially if you cycle. I nearly ran some poor chap over the other day because he was in a black beanie, black coat on a black bike at about 6pm in the pitch black evening.

But if they brought back bobbies on the beat retro, surely they could issue cyclists breaking the laws with a penalty ticket? It would be a start, but I doubt we will ever have bobbies on the beat again anyway !

we do have some, but the ones i see often are on horseback, and the others are in zippy cars.

Last year I wanted to be seen, so wore a white coat, white trousers, white boots and white hat.
Got run over by a snow plough !

I was thinking about this the other day as my son’s secondary school have a rule about jackets having to be black ,grey or dark blue . not a great policy for them to be visible travelling to and from school .
