Who were the two solo female singers featured in the 1965 film Pop Gear, and did they have any subsequent commercial success? That flick is the one with the very out-of-place Matt Monroe and not enough Beatles.

The only 'Pop Gear' film I know about doesn't actually have Matt Monroe in it, but there are only a couple of performances from The Beatles, as well as Herman's Hermits, The Animals and Spencer Davis.

The only credited female artist is Honey Lantrey from The Honeycombes, the 'novelty' British band who enjoyed a Number One in 1964 with the Joe Meek producede stomper 'Have I The Right'. The band did have a few other minor hits, but were to all intents and purposes, a one-hit wonder, and they ended their playing days on the caberet circuit.
The two singers were Susan Maughan (singing "Make Him Mine") and Billie Davis (singing "Whatcha Gonna Do"). Matt Monro sang two songs, including the title song, "Pop Gear".
