david, It has to start before prison though surely. These kids shouldn't be going down that path in the first place. Plenty don't. This is a cultural thing and it's horrendous.
Naomi. Drugs and gangs, peer pressure and greed, laziness, and stupidity make fine bedfellows. Our society turned left when it should have turned right. Nanny state dictates etc. Oh my, back again to despair,
Full Life Prison Terms or 'Whole Life Tariffs' to give the correct name are VERY rare now ! They are ONLY given for a 2nd or susequent Murder !! (or for Setting fire to a Navy Dockyard ,I think that one is still on the books !)
Even a person on a Whole Life Tariff can apply to have it altered and be set a release date !
A point to remember that a 'Lifer' can only EVER be released 'On Licence' ! Anything that breaks the terms of release will see them recalled to Prison !! There are cases where a lifer has been recalled even 10,20 ,30 years after release ! Remember, they DO NOT need to be sentenced again !! In this way 'Life' really does mean Life !!
Eddie....You talk crap

yes you do Eddie, they should never be released
a young girl lost her life and they should forfeit theirs. Life in prison should be the sentence.
I don't feel sorry for them at all. Whatever their circumstances, poor, disadvantaged, drugs related should know better.
Definitely should never be released. Such a waste of a young girl's life and her family all fractured. I wholeheartedly agree with retrocop.
