wats the deals with this chatter bank thing it sounds like it went very t1ts up what happened??

It did go pear shaped, very quickly too!

It started off very friendly, along the lines of "what you having for tea?" and then degenerated into verbal abuse city. Aliases galore and general nastiness on every other thread.

It was deemed too high mantainence by the powers that be and was subsequently removed some time before Christmas, if memory serves me well.

it was brilliant fun for a while though and I still miss it :-(

It was good fun sometimes although I wasn't on it that much. It was somewhere you could have a laugh and a chat about anything and you could get to know each other a bit but as Boo said some people used it for abusive purposes and it spoiled it. I miss it too.

What really happened was that Pippa had a virtual affair with Whiffey who is Rubyroses's virtual husband (Rubes having previously left Ned Flanders in a callous manner. Anyhoooooo... it later transpired that Whiffey was actually a woman. Some people found this offensive and reported an answer. ABED became very confused with all the drama so cancelled Chatterbank and then set up AB Blog where she now spends all her time by herself in a padded room rocking back and forth and prattling inanely.

Aint possible fms, think Ed said that it was way too high maintenance and was taking up too much man power. Especially as the idiots got worse and worse in there and the techies were spending more and more time slapping wrists.

I think abed made a post that chatterbank was only a temporary experiment so I dont think it will ever come back

fms if you think chatterbank sounded good then you could join http://www.phpbbserver.com/froggersworld, it has quite a few members who were regulars on cb. Its a great site, everyone gets on with everyone else, there are no aliases at all and if you wanna post something stupid then you can cos its allowed in the chat section

Theres also sections pretty much like on here for serious posts.
