Not an expert but here's my take:
The design of the site looks a bit "cheap". I presume the pictures are to present a human face to the team, but some of them are on there more frequently than others (due to multiple roles) and some of the poses are kinda annoying. You'd probably be better served by a static page with pictures and a bio with qualifications.
I suspect that the main problem is that a lot of advice can be had for free on sites such as this. It may well cost a lot more to consult a solicitor (or other professional) but at least the customer knows "where to find" the person and that their advice is personal rather than general.
The basic idea behind the site is quite good, and in a few years when everyone is Broadbanded up and they can video conference an expert it might work, but personally speaking I would be very wary of shelling out money to a site such as yours. Then again, I'm a tight b@5t**d, so maybe it's just me.
thanks, i think there is truth in what you say, it's really aimed at people who don't have time to get away from work/home to see anyone. it has been done on the cheap and it's a shame it looks that way cos the web streaming and payment processing are the best money can buy (hence why the rest suffered) neway thanks for your candour.
I think the site lacks focus.
When I first went there I was not sure what the site was offering (I am still not sure I understand). The top middle is offering a loan, the bottom right says Banging Bargains (whatever that is) that sounds awful.
The home page has a lot of information on it, and I found my eye jumping from one section of the page to another, trying to figure out where to start.
I think the home page needs a major redesign, get rid of the faces (they may know their subject but too be honest do not look very inviting).
And maybe put a box of text in the middle top of the screen saying what the site does (as this answerback site does).
Sorry to be so harsh, many sites have to go through many redesigns to get it right, treat this as you first go.
