On another thread it has come to light that a certain member openly admits to reporting any question or post that he does not agree with or cannot answer. Can you confirm that any post or thread will not be removed simply because it is reported? thanks.
Danny, there are some being removed, that definitely do not break Site Rules. The Ed may not have time to look over every one of them, it may well be a mod x
The report functionality highlights questions and answers directly to the editorial team. If these questions or answers do not break Site Rules, then they will not be removed. Any questions or answers that are reported will be scrutinised.
Due to the high volume of posts, all editorial decisions are final, and discussion relating to the removal or editing of posts will not be entered into by the AB Editor.
pixie, Ab Editor, I hope this is ok? I have had posts simply vanish. I know it wasn't a mod or the Ed because no "post removed" placeholder comes up....I guess its a glitch of some sort.
If someone reports a post they have to give their reason. That is seen by the Editorial team at AB Towers and no one else. Weekend moderators do not see it.
Moderators can remove posts or whole threads, but again have to give their reason. Those removals can be overturned by the Ed.
I would hope so, woof x but this happened several times in the same thread. With the other poster admitting, as ttt said above, that he was reporting everything. Seriously, one was a genuine question that he just was not able to answer.
There was, woof. As I said earlier- one possible broke the rules, as i said my previous (removed) post was innocuous (which it was). Every other one, was because thedevil couldn't, or didn't want to answer.
I would be perfectly happy for every one of those removed answers to be posted here... and see how and why they were against any rules.
