Steak, garlic mushrooms, crispy onions, potatoes and peas.
And I've just been informed we ran out of heating oil this morning.

Its that time of year when my old favourites come out. Mainly stews and casseroles.
Tonight my wife has cooked Chicken Tikka from the mail’s recipe yesterday.
Tomorrow I cook a large cauldron of Spanish Peasant bean stew called Fabanas Asturianus. No Spanish peasants are used in this stew. Ham hock,chorizo, black pudding garlic onions cabbage potato onions butter beans canneloni beans smoked paprika thyme and water.
I’m round at yours for that Spanish job retro..
Jazzyjen - think the word you're looking for is "dreich" but know exactly what you mean. Been a bit dreich here in Dundee today.

Maggibee we had a lovely Scottish gent who used to do our local weather ( sadly gone now) he would always describe brain of light snow as skitey bits , such a lovely fellow he was

Skitey bits is a great description Bobbisox. Always think dubs is more descriptive than puddles too.
dinner down here was fish pie, very nice it was too.

Weather a mixture here. Grey and drizzly now.
We are just ready to have our dinner now.
Sausages, roast potatoes, cabbage & mixed veg. gravy.
roast chicken stir fry....peppers, peas, leeks, asparagus tips, spring onions, loads of garlic in egg noodles, loads of chilli, chipotle, coriander (ground and fresh) and a soy-cornflour thickening sauce.
