2d is a bit less straightforward

The Wife (of Bath) ??

She refers to the husband as 'Sir Ancient Fool' and uses the words 'Preaceth from his bench' in her prologue.

But it seems unwieldy to me.

Thank you very much as ever, Mamyalynne. Agree 2d is a bit of a stretch. Was also completely in the dark on Fawnia. Much appreciated.
Overall a tougher puzzle this time.

Quite happy to see a better answer for 2d all the same.
