As it should be - and no gap between word and exclamation mark - regardless of what OG's primary school teacher said- and no apostrophe in its - even if the door does 'own' its doorknob. An apostrophe there renders 'it's' an abbreviation of 'it is'. I've heard that apostrophe called a 'tombstone' - there in place of a dead letter. ;o)
