Heathrow check-in times
Does anyone know if there has been change to the usual recommended check in times for flights out of London Heathrow to Continental Europe because of the recent security changes. It has always been two hours. The BBC news is saying arrive early but not too early but I don't know whether this means two hours or something more. I can't seem to find an answer on the Heathrow or British Airways websites and I can't get through on the phone

You'll find some information if you go to the BA website and click on 'Latest Disruption Update'. Then click on 'Tips for Travellers'. This includes the following:
"You should leave sufficient time for your journey to the airport as roads around it may be very congested. Refer to local radio stations during your journey for the latest information.
Arrive at the airport to check in for flights two hours before departure - leave enough time as the airport is likely to be very busy."
Remember that BAA requires all airlines operating out of Heathrow to cancel 30% of their flights. BA are currently cancelling all European flights which depart from Terminal 4. Information on other cancellations is available via the links referred to above.
