15.5 Yr Old Grandson Wants Our Fibre Optic Christmas Village

He remembers it as a little boy growing up and called it the ‘Billage’ , we had it for years till it no longer lit so last year we threw it out,he’s helping decorate their tree and said he’d love the ‘billage’ for his bedroom,cue phone call off my daughter, I’m trying to get a replacement but there’s not a lot to choose from, I’ve looked, I’d love to say “ Here B, there’s your ‘billage”, it obviously hold good memories for him , anyone seen any as they’ve shopped?

Not to be a wet blanket but a word of caution - at 15½ he won't be fooled by a modern replacement as a small child would be.

Does he know that the original he remembers is gone?

If it's just the nostalgia he wants then maybe choose something new together that he can treasure for the future.

Good point there from Mamya. Perhaps you should tell him it's gone, and ask if he would like a substitute - he'll probably say no as his reasons seem sentimental.

Yes he does, he’s no fool and I think he just fancied having his Billage in his room for Christmas, actually I’ve spoken to him and it’s the ‘billage or nothing” he said laughing
