Had a lovely lunch today with a very dear friend who visited me. I cooked chicken curry and we exchanged our Christmas presents and had a lovely long chat over a cuppa and cake! She's staying the night, but has gone to see her new great nephew in a neighbouring town and when she gets back, we're nipping to my local for a couple of drinks ..

My "baby" son is 50 on Thursday and we are having a wee family party on Saturday night.

Taking my granddaughter to see Santa and a grotto at the weekend and then we have having a little birthday party for her. Her birthday is Christmas day, so she will miss out otherwise.

We visited one of our children who lives in foreign parts, over the long weekend, which was lovely.
We’re now in full Christmas mode to knock the house into shape for the influx of visitors requiring beds and food over the Christmas period. Can’t wait :)
