Does Anyone Actually Like Wrapping Mounds Of Christmas Presents?

I'm ploughing through them as we speak - and hating it as usual. Bah humbug!

I love it!

The present Mrs Hughes and I have a deeply unbalanced pact - she shops for almost everything for our huge family, and I wrap everything.

I definitely get the best end of the deal, I love wrapping, and I have never been defeated yet by any size or shape of gift with the obvious exception of bicycles which I don't think anyone tries to wrap.

It's one thing I am good at, so any wrapping at any time of year falls to me.

My Dad used to meticulously open the wrapping paper on his Christmas presents with the penknife that he had been carrying around with him since he was six years old. He would carefully slit the sellotape open and fold the wrapping paper over neatly for future use and put it aside. Unfortunately, my Mum would then get hold of the paper and throw it in the bin.
