Recorder Box

I play my TV through a recorder box (Birthday present) and I keep getting the words on the bottom of the screen. I cant get rid of them. I know someone asked a similar question recently but I cant find it or the answer. Can someone tell me what the answer is again or tell me which category it was. Thank you.

You've given next to no details, but somewhere in the settings menu should be an on/off control for subtitles. Just go through them all.

It sounds like you're getting the subtitles. My Humax remote control has a button at the bottom labelled "SUB"; press that.

Bottom left button of your remote control should stop or start subtitles.

Thanks for all the help. I had to push the button twice before it would go as per Davebros answer but now it has gone. Although I'm glad to see the back of it I tried putting it back on to see if that worked and it doesn.t so perhaps I ll be back again some time in the future!
