Care Home

I've just heard that my friend who was upset last week in the care home MAY be getting moved to another one.

Would anybody know - the one she is in is privately-owned but if she gets it - the new one is run by Belfast Health and Social Trust ie NHS

Will she be any better . Thanks for any answers.

I think with any Care Home it's touch and go jj, I HOPE it will be better for her, she certainly isn't happy in her present one is she, poor soul. Just carry on being the good friend you are, she probably appreciates it.

thanks HIA - contacted a friend whose mother was in "new" one many years ago and he recommended it. He said the people can talk to each other whereby my friend is really looking at very ill people in bed with no signs of life every day - I do hope friend gets in.

I personally think that for someone with dementia, the environment they are in can make all the difference to how they present (sometimes) However, your friend's dementia wont improve

I will HIA - Bed - I do know of course her dementia could get worse but you know right now she can have a sort of conversation albeit jumps from one thing to another but sure that's ok.
