tigger brings back memories of my ex FIL making soup from turkey carcass, we were happily watching the James Bond film when smoke started to come through lounge door. He didn't tell anyone what he was doing and forgot about it. Kitchen was badly smoke damaged and had fire brigade visit as it was a registered guest house.

Could not find our "boom" box so had to use TV to play michael Buble christmas CD.

Ours was hectic in the 2 weeks before, then younger family members on Monday....but all alone Tues. and Christmas Day, lovely! Chilled out and relaxed - then rest of family on Boxing Day - also lovely.

We had a chaotic family day at my daughter's and her family. It was the first time she had attempted the Christmas Lunch, in the end her brothers did it as she "hosted " ! Lovely day. But it was too warm to light the fire during the day, which was a shame. It is the only day of the year when we begrudge our beautiful weather. Now enjoying a quiet few days before we host ( and cook) the NYE's dinner with all the family.
