Friends, family, work collegues etc all say that Xmas TV has been awful.
I do sometimes wonder if I am missing anything worthwhile by not having a TV.

I liked Gavin and Stacey from the beginning and enjoyed the special. Otherwise, I never watch anything while it is on... I might record a few things, and forget about them, but I use Netflix more than Sky now.
Well you haven't missed a lot, nailit. We like to watch 'Carols from King's' (which was lovely as usual) and found the Alastair Sim 'Christmas Carol'...…. but not much else really apart from 'My Fair Lady' (my favourite musical). Oh! Christmas University Challenge and Only Connect are very enjoyable. Otherwise just some of the pleasant programmes such as The Repair Shop. That's about it. Mostly radio.
Watched all episodes of Corrie, Mrs Browns Boys.
Watching Snow Cats and Me which is wonderful.
Some channels are absolute rubbish. Gold has had Only Fools and Horses on back to back from 8.00am this morning to 11.10 tonight.
This has happened more than once on some channels.
you aren't missing much to be fair, though NY day was good for me, i found loads of old films to watch..
Personally, I didn't think it was too bad. But then I'm a big fan of Corrie, Mrs. Brown's Boys and Gavin & Stacey. Agree with everyone else about Billy Elliot, a great film, love the ending when Billy leaps onto the stage and his Dad's face is a picture.
