From what I read it didn't turn into an anti-government protest until after he left.
That he wasn't there when arrested.
But I guess any excuse in a storm.

I don’t know all the details but perhaps he was arrested and kept in a holding cell as part of a mass arrest thing. Sort of round everyone up in the vicinity and see where the penny drops!!
