Near Junction 1 of the M40 there use to be a piece of graffiti that said 'why do I do this every day?' this has since been blanked out and the name of a web address put there instead. If you know the answer please please put me out of misery! TIA

Is the answer "To get to my work?" :-)
I can't believe someone's defaced that fence - it's been the M40's equivalent of the old "M Khan is bent" graffiti on that bridge over the North Circular since I can't remember when. Old grafitti never dies, it just fades away...*sigh*

As to what it means I don't think anyone actually knows that for sure. I thought when I first saw it that it might have been the graffiti artist questioning what drives him (or, indeed, her) to daub the fence with paint each morning. That or choosing to live in Beaconsfield. Most likely, as stated by BenDToy, the question is simply echoing the thoughts of the frustrated commuters sitting in the queues of traffic for the M25 junction as they crawl into the capital on their way to work.

What's the website address btw?

Sorry it is the website that was bugging me. The original graffiti was pressumably suggesting the joy of commuting. Therefore anyone know what the nice newly painted website is/was (it may not be there anymore)!
the new website was some awful looking band website called sevenlaw.com but the original has now been repainted as "why do i still do this every day?", interestingly in a mixture of capital and small letters
