Road to Perdition is a good film and he does play against type.
I must check it out Emmie, thanks :)
I'd forgotten that one emmie, ages since I've seen it but even in that doesn't he do the honourable thing in the end?
i won;t spoil the ending if ducksie wants to watch it.
thanks Emmie, I do and I will get to watch it :)
I thought he was great, until Tony's revelation. Now I despise him in a way reserved for Prince William and David Cameron.
who's Tony.. if it's to do with the movie, then don't spoil it for those who haven't seen it.
Emmie, he's talking about Tom being a Villa fan lol
I loved Captain Phillips and Scully.
refreshingly likeable for a hollywood superstar isn't he

How about 'catch me if you can' and 'bridge of spies' excellent in both.
And anytime he's on the 'Graham Norton Show' he simply takes over. Wonderful raconteur in the mold of Peter Ustinov and David Niven. Briliant.
A beautiful person, The Green Mile is one of my favourites.
I think the image that the media gives us - which is all we have - shows him as a nice man.

I have absolutely no idea what he is actually like - none of us do because we don't know him at all.
I met him once and I started to cry:

He was standing on my foot at the time though.!!
Not many films make me cry but Forest Gump and The Green Mile get me every time.

I didn't really like Castaway so much.
