Bing Nuisance !
26 Answers
Following my recent upgrade to W10 I seem to have picked up Bing as a search engine whilst adding some old favourites. I've checked YouTube and tried a few suggestions and even when I delete Bing from my search engine options and checked/ selected Google, then retarted the pc, up pops Bing search page again. Most annoying !
Any help out there, please ?
Cheers.

My homepage is now perfectly normal with all my familiar shortcuts, ie, Google Earth, Word etc, as well as the Firefox shortcut. However, when I click on it to open Firefox I get a lovely picture with a Bing search bar across the middle where my usual Google bar used to be and I don't know how to clear Bing.
I've tried everything. Google is my selected search engine and Firefox installed. I've cleared all other traces of Bing from the search engine options. This is why I asked earlier if I should uninstall Firefox and do a clean install.
Thanks again.

Derek, Bing is the "default" Microsoft search engine in the Microsoft operating system. It is embedded in the system like the Edge browser and Defender security. Not unlike Apple's methods of being a "provider". Now it can be disabled,(Why) although I cannot see how it affects your web usage because it only appears on screen when you open a new tab without an url. If you feel that you "must", then read this. I have a feeling that every time you do an upgrade Bing will be back. Bing Boing. Why would you even consider altering the register of the lappie(I wouldn't, and I know how to). You have a new system and set of tools. Why not start to utilise them instead of hanging on to the outmoded and outdated?
