the hospital department where my son worked had a similar visitor, called Baxter. h was too small to have enough of a presence to open the automatic doors so lurked outside until he could follow someone in. the patients used to say "aw Baxter", the staff used to say "aw Baxter", the hospital management used to say "Warning! Infection control" and tried to exclude him. they knew where he lived and regularly rang his family but he kept coming back....
