I know AB is thinking about sub categories within Q & P but I would suggest that this is now done as a matter of some urgency. Quite why AB decided that sport merited a sub category before Q and P when the latter gets three times as many questions is anybody's guess - perhaps AB would explain the reasoning behind this?

As a side issue, I note that there are still quite a few football questions placed in the sport main category rather than in the football sub category - could I suggest that you add to the notice within sport to the effect that football questions are to be placed within the sub category.

A bit of Background for ya, goldenfield - the Football category was a mixture of offering something that has been requested many times and a solution to what to do with all those World Cup Qs. We hope to hammer down the subcategory project, but it will not be immediately put live until after substantial creative and technical work. We will make an announcement when it is appropriate to do so.

Thanks for your comments!
Corrr goldenfield...that's some attitude ya got there, rofl!!!

Please explain what you mean BOO. There was no 'attitude' there whatsoever. Quizzes and puzzles has always had far more questions than sport so if AB can see the need for a separate world cup section before it happened then they have had even more time to have seen that the Q and P section was getting unwieldy and needed a subcategory or two of its own. My question was straightforward and has not been answered except to give the obvious explanation as to why a football subcategory was added. I did not ask why a football category was added, I simply asked why it was added before one for Q and P.

And now here I will have 'attitude' ! Responding to requests without looking at the overall position of the various portions of the site is not, in my opinion, the way to control the traffic of a site. Just because there may have been fewer requests for a subcategory within other portions of the site does not make it any less important. 'Those who shout the loudest gets' was the opposite of what I was taught and seems an odd practice to follow in the best interests of the site.
LOl, I as trying to have a little joke with ya, obviously not appreciated, my apologies.

I would also add that I do not believe that another new subcategory would need the substantial creative work that AB Editor suggests - what you have accomplished once you can surely do again reasonably easily. But that is my opinion and what the hey I'm just another user of the site! Now you CAN say what you said with justification BOO!

No problem BOO. I dont have much of a sense of humour I'm afraid or rather I don't recognise humour as easy as I might - and for that I apologise.
Awww bless ya, no need to apologise yourself. You asked a serious Q and I was taking the micky (albeit gently).

Have a nice day :-)

No no BOO - there was EVERY reason for me to apologise and I do so again - but thankyou for your understanding. I do take matters a little (or should that be a lot!) too seriously at times!! The fact that I did not see that your comment was just light hearted is my fault entirely and you definitely do not have anything to apologise for.
