Margo, those 50s creature features like The Blob were always a bit tongue in cheek; teenagers laughed at them first time round.

most Carry Ons. I like Cleo and Up the Khyber, and I'm okay with Spying and Cowboy, but that's about it. The earlier ones were typically twee British but after the first 10 years or so they got really tedious.

Mrs Clarion dragged me along to see Love Story in the early 70's. I fell asleep for most of it. Where do I begin, eh?
