Kodak Printer Power But Nothing Else

My Kodak office 2170 printer is not working. The start light only stays on a few seconds. On the dell pc is says the printer is offline so I went through all the menus and drop down boxes. When I get to the box that is ticked for printer offline, I am supposed to click on this to get it back online. I cannot get rid of this, just comes back as printer offline and will not let me uncheck the box. I think it may well be the printer that’s bombed but I need some help with this offline malarkey. Your problem is the printer. The computer thinks its offline because its not turned on.

Check the power cables are fully plugged in. Check the usb cable. Check there is nothing inside the printer that shouldn't be there. Can you access the ink? Remove them and reseat them.

Thanks Tuvok, I have checked most of this, but haven’t taken out the ink yet. Will try this.
