Strictly-speaking, the gender of the hater - as opposed to the hated - is revealed in neither misogynist nor misandrist. They just mean 'hater of women' and 'hater of men' and may apply to either sex. So, if Anne hates all other women, she too is a misogynist and if Bill hates all other men, he too is a misandrist.
