Question Time tonight comes from my home town, Dundee. As well as the usual politicians, the panel will include Val McDermid and Spectator journalist, Alex Massie. Will be interested to hear what the "hand picked" audience have to say. Last time it was broadcast from Dunde (2016) I can't remember hearing a Dundee voice.

I rarely hear regional accents on there. Unless you count North London.
it'll be all on different dependence I imagine.

Answer as expected TTT.
ah - the Tay the Tay ! It runs thro Dundee every day
I can do no better than
William Topaz McGonagall, poet.
Peter - the Tay disnae run through Dundee, Dundee is on the Tay
I havent watch it for ages, but I agree the audience should be local. Unfortunately it seems to be issue based, and open to biased
The audience is comprised of people who apply to be on it.
If no one from Dundee wants to be on the programme, tough
But I find it hard to believe.

I'm struggling to see in what regard the Tay doesn't run through Dundee. What does it do? Sulk motionless while the city sits on it?
It ain't Dundee on the other side?

Ah PP, you need to get your facts right. WTMcG was born in Ireland and moved to Edinburgh with his parents. He died in Edinburgh and is buried in Edinburgh. He may have claimed Dundee as his, but not every Dundonian wanted him. Having said that, his "awful" poetry has survived.
The Thames runs through London, the Clyde runs through Glasgow. The Tay does not run through Dundee - Dundee is on the north bank of the Tay. Have a look at a map!
''It ain't Dundee on the other side?''

No, a place worse than Dundee - Tayport
:-)
Brainiac is correct, in the same way as the Tyne does not flow through Newcastle-"upon"-Tyne.
Can't argue with Albaqwerty on that one either!
Will someone be asking Joanna Cherry what currency the Scots will be using when they leave the UK?

Last time she was on she said they were working on it.
Well balanced audience. (snort)
In defence of PP, he was quoting (or was he?) some lines allegedly by the great man, not giving a potted biography.

What a shame some of this pointless "debate" could not transfer itself to QT.
It would be a lot more interesting ... :-)
The audience seems fairly Scottish to me.
Not that I'm an expert in the silvery tones of the Tayside accident,
