Email With Strange, Unknown Address
26 Answers
I have just found an email in my spam box from a friend whose emails usually get through.
The address, after his username is, sugihjaylogistic.com ...not his address at all.
There was no message, just his name at the bottom of the space.
Is this some kind of scam?

Yes you’re the recipient so you’re the one who has to beware. It could be your contacts compromised or his, but it’s something almost certainly out of the control of either of you

Probably not a lot.
Other than mark them as junk and never open them.
My email provider manages to harvest most of the ones I get into my spam folder. In fact I’ve just been looking at a few of mine: all with weird addresses.
Some think Facebook etc have a lot to answer for here: because somehow someone or something is able to poke its nose into your contacts list: that is what is getting compromised.
