I bought GenoPro many years ago, but when I updated my pc, for various reasons, all info was lost.

So does anyone know of any good free software I could download so I can start from scratch?

Use what many professional genealogists use, Gramps:

I have looked at Gramps, but the site I viewed said it had problems running with Windows.

Do you know if it runs ok?

I've known a few people that have used it with Windows with no problems but, if you'd rather try something else anyway, this is well-reviewed in many places:

I have a lot of data about Veenhuis until before 1740.
