My sister and I had plans today, but she cancelled because she was sick, no big deal. Tonight she asked if I was coming over tomorrow to do her nails, I told her not if she was sick. I am not worried about myself, the chances of her having COVID-19 are very slim, but I live with my mother who is on oxygen, has COPD, and many other risk factors. Her nails are not worth our mothers life. She reminded me that I had promised to help her with her nails and told me she would never break a promise.
Am I in the wrong? Am I being overly cautious?
I think postponing is fair enough. (Especially in the present circumstances.) Her getting sick changes the conditions for any promise. Was rather unfair of her to bring that up.
Can only agree with everyone else. Even if she hasn't got the virus , she could have something else you could catch and pass on to your mother. Its not worth the risk. Her nails can wait.
Hope you feel better soon ummmm. I have had sore throat, sinus and other problems since being ill with a virus since early January. I feel really run down, depressed and really vulnerable.
