Happy to have got the author and the works for this one,but am quite disappointed with the last three clues which I have wrong. Thanks in advance for answers, please!
ACROSS:
32 Mac’s nimble women in bed ( 5 ) S???K
37 Bird bit grasping lecturer ( 5 ) ?O?I?
You've got me confused now, Matakari! I know you've had loads of answers already, but I haven't read through the other thread. You said you have the author - then ask for the answer to 33Down! The preamble should help with this. Your 'g' there is wrong, I think you've put 40 A in the wrong way round.
37 Colin, bird. L, lecturer, inside Coin, bit.
32 is a Scottish word for Nimble - just the usual Women in a casual/slang word for 'bed'.
Many thanks to all for your help! I got the author by working from the anagram words that gave me the novels. I did not realise that 33d was that straightforward. Thanks again, Neveracrossword. It's finished!
