Idle thoughts (such as one is inclined to have when in isolation) led me to consider - not too seriously - getting a Canary as a pet. So off I went surfing the net for advice etc. This example amused me.

Do Canaries like music?
A few things all canaries seem to enjoy singing along with, and it's not always music; running water will get them just about every time, and so will a running vacuum cleaner. ... Other music most canaries seem to like, funnily enough, is just about anything by the Grateful Dead, Midnight Oil, and Bob Marley.

My dad had a parrot which spoke with an Irish accent :-)

Tipperary, a small place called Fenor, 8 miles from Thurles. OH is from Sligo, my daughters dad is from Mayo, my granddad is from Donegal, Nan is Belfast, half my family live in Kilkenny. We get about a bit :-D
A clever parrot then :-)
My wife is from Belfast and can sound like a parrot :-(
He was clever. When the phone rang he'd say 'is your mum there' That's was my dad ringing my house and always asking for me when one of the kids answered :-) He loved my dad.
