It's just Mr Alba, me and one son here.
The son is a key worker and is more than happy to stay at least 2m away from colleagues, he'd prefer it to be more.
Mr Alba and I aren't great social animals anyway, so it's not too bad.

I'll miss seeing other son, no more visits for a while.
I feel for those who are courting and their partner isn't local enough to at least be seen in the flesh.

When I was a boy I craved the company of friends. Whatever the weather, I'd be out. All this must be very hard on kids.(except school being shut, hurrah)

My grandchildren came across to my house today. Not allowed in but did a wee dance on the patio while I watched from my living room. Fair cheered me up.

I've lived alone for 12 years now, am well used to my own company but like many I am missing family visits - especially from the Grandchildren.

We all had a strange conversation at the weekend through the car windows (closed).

I don't mind being alone but it's not something I'm used to. I had my first child at 18 so have never actually lived alone.

What's gutting me is my friend has just been diagnosed with breast cancer....knowing she's going to have to go through treatment more or less alone (she's 34)

I don’t mind being alone, which is fortunate as my OH is stuck in another country. We are not allowed out for a walk here, which I miss a lot and it is only day 10, but I am lucky that we have a very big flat and two lofts above us (normally rented out) which I can walk around. Lots of people in Girona live in very small flats and I don’t know how they cope.

I came from a very unhappy home and hated school being shut; it was my escape, plus the food was much better than anything I got at home. I am long over that, and don’t want to turn the thread into a Yorkshiremen sketch, but just to say that not every child will be relishing being locked in their own home for reasons other than boredom.
