Is there technology online whereby you can insert a photo of someone and it will try to identify that person from images on the internet? If so, please provide a link or two

TinEye can be used for any kind of image search and is available as an add on in Firefox so a right click on the pic in question brings up a link to TinEye.

Does that only work with digital images, or would it work with a digital copy of a photo print?
any image that you can bring up in your browser.
Google affer an image search for similar images. You'd then have to look through what it finds for clues.
If you right click on any image it brings up a menu that includes "Search the web for image" in the options.
Ah but did you spot the real me ?
It took a little time but I eventually got there Geezer. :)) Joking aside it does sometimes identify a person and give a name or enable a name search. Just takes a bit of practice.
