got sky q if i buy a sky q mini box is it just plug and play or do i have to subscribe to something

I have my minibox connected via wifi. The main box is wifi enabled as is the mini box. If the 2 boxes are any distance apart or if you have stone or concrete walls yo may need a sky wifi repeater. This picks up from the main box and sends to the minibox. The main q box will connect to your router, but the minibox will only connect to the main q box. I have one of these because the wifi from the q box to the minibox in the kitchen was inadequate. Strangely enough my bt router covers half the street. I did not pay for it sky installed it because I bribed the engineer with tea, biscuits, and civility.

You also need the multi room package to enable the minibox however you connect it. Sky know these things.
