We live in strange times. The Lincoln should have been run today at Doncaster, the traditional if not official flat racing calendar opener being the first "big" race. After a week of glorious sunshine and very warm weather it is freezing cold out with a North wind to cut you in half. Think I would be staying in if I didn't have to anyway. In view of that I have headed of to sunnier warmer climes and picked a little punt at Gulfstream Florida. The ITV7 is even covering the first 7 races in it's TV comp. So a minimum stakes flutter using my magic pin and a blindfold to make selections.

The very best of British, Togo & Denton. I had a bet at Tampa Bay, yesterday and managed to get 2/4 - @ 6/1 and 11/1. No win singles, just the usual 20p L15 and £1 e.w. acca. Unfortunately only one of the other 2 placed:-(. Obviously, knowing very little about the American racing scene, all I did was to look at the top trainers and top jocks (anyone with a 20%+ record at the track) and choose what i thought were their best chances. It worked, up to a point, so i'll be using that method again today. Although i have only glanced at today's menu (plenty of time before first race) I see that, in addition to the 14 at Gulfland, there is also a card of 8 at Tampa. Some large fields, too, so i'll be kept busy for a while. Back when I've decided where to chuck my money :-)

Weirdly allowed to put Bering Strait down as my choice in first of ITV7 races, then went to put it in L15 but it was a n/r. Hate it when that happens. Guess i'm on the jolly in the first. Chosen to stay at Gulfstream for these 2 bets but will probably have a look at Tampa later.

You can edit the ITV7 Ken when you get a non runner. I have had to do it a number of times. Not sure whether you can once the first race has started though.
