Just heard through a friend that as from tomorrow Asda are not allowing children into their stores and only 1 adult at a time. Has anyone else heard of this? Can see where they are coming from but what if you don't have a car and are a single parent?

I haven't heard that and have had regular emails from all the main stores as their policies have been updated.
Nothing's coming up on a Google News search and the 'information' (if that's what it really is) isn't showing on the relevant page of Asda's website:

This came up on FB the other day, but for Tesco. Someone had even gone to the trouble of mocking up a Tesco image.
There's an awful lot of fake stories going around, mainly ones to worry people!
no children allowed in my local Spar
We had an email from Makro a few days ago saying they were not allowing children in the store.
Presumably, "only 1 adult at a time" doesn't mean what it sounds it means!
Daughter has literally just come back from Tesco. Apparently they are only letting one family member in to the shop, and controlling how many shoppers are in the store at one time. This is fact.
dont understan why more than 1 family member would go anyway (unless single parent)
Waitrose has been limiting the number of people in the store for several days now...one out, one in. The result is a nice, calm atmosphere and everything is well-stocked...even eggs!
Downside is the wait to get in...varies from a few minutes to half-an hour.
not sure about that, but my son waited 2hrs in a que to get in...
My local Co Op are only letting a limited number of people in the store, then it's one out one in. As for children I'm not sure.
Like APG's, our Tesco store is the same and it's one way traffic round the isle all the way once inside till the checkout.

Ikea lives!!
Yes lots of arrows taped on the floor showing direction of travel, bit like a one way traffic system.
Chinese whispers.
My daddy and one of my sisters were both allowed in Tesco yesterday.
