Post Office. Contacting?
3 Answers
I need to contact the Post Office (and/or Customs) about a parcel from New Zealand.
The NZ firm says it is 'stuck' in UK customs. This has happened before, and I get a card from the Post Office saying there ia a custom's fee to pay, which I pay.
All the 'contact' details on the Post Office excuse for a website take you back to an enfuriating list of not-too-helpful Qs and As. Phoning them is amusing, but not proudctive (I held on for three hours last week, then got cut off...)
Any ideas about how to contact these organisations?

It's a completely separate company to Parcelforce Worldwide (who have the HMRC contract to inspect postal imports) and their sister company, Royal Mail, that's got the responsibility for delivering the mail to you and collecting the relevant charges.

or phone Parcelforce Worldwide on 0344 800 4466
or Royal Mail on 0345 774 0740
(Note though that both organisations are currently running with fewer staff than usual in their call centres, so you might have a long wait).
