Passed the building site just down the road from me, they are building hundreds of homes, some more or less completed, some half done and so on. Its so weird to see it completely deserted, hundreds of thousands of pounds of materials just sitting there in piles. Seeing this sort of thing plays with ones head, if this carries on for many months it makes you wonder if the work force will even be fit for work with having so long off.
On a brighter note you can really tell the difference in the air quality, has I could even smell the trees, hedges and the spring flowers, daffs especially.
A few experts have been say that there is a noticeable increase in air quality since the lock down. Almost as if the fact of less traffic on the roads could lead to such a thing
Well normally I travel 3/4 mile in car to the river walk, but to go with government requests, I have stopped local walking along what are normally busy roads/ grass verges were the spring flowers are coming up, and you can really tell the difference!!
Some people are taking advantage of the quiet roads to try out the accelerator in their cars. Idiots!
We have seen a lot of drivers speeding dangerously.
I'm stuck in the house but the other night was amazingly clear here, to be able to see loads of stars and even some constellations were easy to make out. You don't even get that here, in a city. I believe, if I remember right, that I hail from roundabouts where you live Teacake, I always forget how quiet and dark it is at night there until I go back.
