On the news this evening we see hundreds of people cramming into trains at North Acton. Then we hear we are allowing 100,000 nationals to fly home from all over the world. This Government is not doing enough to stem the virus from spreading, they really must start getting tougher.
I know a couple who flew in from South Africa recently, having spent the winter there. They came straight through UK customs and were told to "self isolate" for 14 days. Of course, when they got back to their house neighbours had left a small shop, but they needed to stock up on all sorts of stuff. So they're straight into shopping for themselves.
o yeah I must just say
I rang X (miss) and asked after miss Y and she said " I dunno I havent seen her for 5d !"
and so I asked if she taken her home and just dumped her
and Miss X said - no she is upstairs
and so I said - "oh sliding welsh rarebit under the door and all that"

the situation on the underground is entirely in the hands of the mayor, who is defying government calls to reverse some of the swingeing service cuts initiated last week. clearly people cramming on to these trains need to go to work as they're continuing to do it. you really need to direct your ire at Mr Khan whose actions can only be seen as deliberately provocative.
Unless they're travelling from places like northern Italy, Spain or New York, the probability of someone arriving here from abroad having Covid-19 is actually less than that of the average British resident having it.

possibly, but at this time, the shops only have their trade association and a business analyst on their side. I’ve a feeling the police and local trading standards are going to win this one.
Buenchico: On a plane carrying 300 people for 9 hours, 10 of whom starting the flight with coronavirus, what would be the expected number of people to finish the flight with coronavirus?
