I'm searching for a book of poems from my childhood. The title was something like 'A (insert date)anthology of poetry'. It was a small A5 size book with a poem on one page and a drawing or painting on the other. As many hands make light work if anyone wants a research project I'd be really grateful. thanks.
thankyou for looking but no, it had a white dust cover and the title went something like '1975 an Anthology of Poetry' . Obviously not this exact title as I'd probably have found it by now. I just know it was something brought out every year, it may have been a children's anthology but I can't remember the poems being particularly geared towards children. Many Thanks.
thanks woofgang I'll try that. I just thought someone may have had the same book as a child. The main thing was the lovely illustrations on every page.
Sorry mally that's not it but many thanks for looking. This book is one that went missing during one of our many moves to and from North America and I would love to find a copy as the poems in it have lovely memories. I'm sure its a British Female author and am trying to remember more poems that were in it. Cheers.
UPDATE:
Well I've found the title of the book and apologies as its not remotely like the title I remembered. Its call 'The Fireside Book of David Hope' and was an Annual from around the 1960's to 1990's. The following is a link to what the books looked like inside, though this is the 1973 edition and is not 'my' book. Just need to find which year the poem by Kiplin, The Way Through The Woods was featured.
Thanks

Have you thought of contacting the blogger in your link. They mention their very first edition was 1973...maybe they acquired one like yours. Then you may be able to find an actual copy.
