Headed to sainsburys for 8am, just after the NHS folk.
No queue, few shoppers, everything on the weekly shopping list purchased except blue cheese salad dressing which we can just about manage without ;)
Depending on what Asda click and collect come up with tomorrow, we may not bother with Asda again, someone else can have our slot.
Does this mean frantic shopping is reducing, or is more food generally being rolled out, or a combination of both, or other factors?

I went to Waitrose in Ipswich at 0755 last Thursday (during the oldies' hour) and there was only a fairly short queue outside. When I left at just after 9, there was no queue at all (and hardly anyone in the store).
I suppose that, once people have completely filled their cupboards, fridges and freezers with food, it finally dawns on them that they don't actually need to go shopping for a while!

May be its sunk in that there is no shortage of food, and there never was until some greed set in, there maybe one or two items we shall see missing from the shelves in the coming months due to a lot of importing from other countries, and even that is depending on weather they have a reduced work force, and I'm sure we won't miss one or two products that we can do without. We can produce our own basics.
What a lot of the greedy people didn't realise is that the food industry is massive = thousands of businesses in this country and all over the world, none of these companies are going to stand by and watch them fold, its in their own interests to keep them going. Other countries also rely on exporting their food products to the UK, so take it easy!!
