shower problems

When i pull the cord on the electric shower the red light comes on, but when i press the button on the actual shower unit nothing happens, no hot or cold water comes out. what could be wrong?

I don't know, but have a bath and relax in some bubbles.

This is the safety device that stops you receiving boiling water. It normally waits a while then starts.
Does it happen after you have been using it then switch off and restart ?
