The AB Tea Room is now open, where light refreshments an dainties are being being served.
Come in and relax, and enjoy peaceful and harmonious polite conversation and the sharing of amusing or interesting anecdotes.
Please remember that good manners are a prerequisite, and certain sensitive subjects should be avoided.
You will have to self serve, or serve each other, as due to Covid 19 some staff are self isolating.
Enjoy.

Ooooh Bobbi - stotty cake. Went to Uni with a guy from North Shields and every time he went home he brought back stotty cake. Loved it and haven't tasted it since.
shoota, you're quite right there, and there was no need to scramble for replacements.

Sorry to run away so abruptly earlier on, but eldest son just been finished up, and also lost company car.
Not the end of the world compared to others problems but a blow nevertheless.
Other sons also feeling the pinch, so all pulling together as a family.
Tea rooms open again tomorrow.
Thank you for your participation.:-)
Thank you Theland, glad son is not ill, unfortunately jobs and finances are difficult at the moment.
Uncle Joe's mint balls, anyone?
Chorley cakes are much thinner and larger than Eccles cakes. Prefer the Eccles cakes myself. Especially warmed up with a touch of butter on. Delish!
I've just had a Tunnock's tea cake.
It was gooey.
I have a recipe for rhubarb, yoghurt and polenta cake and as I have tons of rhubarb but no yeast it'll have to be that. A bit of finely chopped stem ginger might also be good.
Mary Berry does a lovely tray bake with lime and it always tastes coconut-y.
