....people should carry on protecting the NHS and save lives by not going to the doctors when they don't need to. Certain people are always saying they're ill/not well/out of sorts/under the weather, then off they go to the doctors for their unnecessary dose of pain killers and anti-biotics. But nothing will change on that score. Innit?

The average person is not expert enough to know whether they need help or not. Better folk do some overuse of the system than some don't go and regret it.

I still hear that up here, older people who don't want to "boather the doactor". Unfortunately, that occasionally means that they put off treatment until it's too late.

One doctor I know said that they stopped doing Saturday appointments because they found that for the time they were open (9-12), all the appointments were taken, but out of those who came in, only one person needed to see a doctor. The others had no need to be there. They don't do Saturday appointments now.
Clap-trappy of people to go the doctors when they don't need to Bobbie. Know what I mean? Eh? Eh?

Here's something that needs to happen: when this is all over, NHS and care home staff are paid a wage that reflects the work they do and the service they're currently giving.

Interesting that A&E are empty. You can see why drunks/accidents would be down. But I think lots of people used to wash up there needlessly. Can't be bothered to wait for Doctor's appointments for example. They should get tough and keep those people out in future. (imo)

Surely the doctors are to blame to some extent if they are giving out unnecessary painkillers and antibiotics?
