In the absence of a response to my texts and answerphone messages to an elderly friend who lives alone, I’ve had a bit of a worrying day wondering if she’d had an accident. In fact, I almost called the police. Thankfully she’s just called to say sorry she was gardening and didn’t see my texts or check her answerphone.
If you live alone, please keep in regular contact with someone so they know you’re okay. Just a thought.
Nick, sorry. That came across wrong. The second bit of my post wasn't meant for anyone in particular. It was more a little something further to the OP.
Thank you so much, jj. Only just caught up- and that was exactly my point. I am not criticising naomi's post, or suggesting she doesn't have good intentions. Just adding in, that all vulnerable people will not contact everyone they know to reassure them. So, it makes sense to arrange something with anyone you are worried about. I really did not believe that would be such a controversial idea. But, thank you for reading how it was meant x
